"Stopgap have been fantastic this year as they recognised that I wasn’t happy in my role and instead of pushing me out of the door ( which I was seriously considering) they took time to understand why I wasn’t happy and whether they could help. I’ve never thought about coaching before and it wasn’t until Claire suggested it that I thought I’d get anything out of it. The great thing was that I could choose the coach, I wasn’t given one who had an agenda, what we focussed on was between myself and my coach.
It has been an amazing experience, I have to say I was a bit cynical initially but working with Ro has made me face up to things that I was trying to ignore, it’s improved my confidence no end. Ultimately I’m happy again and I’m back to enjoying my job and therefore I’m making placements!
In a year where this industry has been hit incredibly hard I don’t know of any other company that would still invest this much time and money in someone who was ready to jack it all in, but then I wouldn’t work for any other recruitment company!"

Update April/May 2010 Claudine tells me that she doubled her sales in the last quarter so well done to her for continuing the learning from the coaching. And as of May has just been promoted! So congratulations!

Ro Gorell worked for me heading up our business improvement and quality group within Siemens Business Services. This is a critical part of the company that seeks to take from customers, take from the organisation, partners, the areas in which SBS is good and the areas in which we can improve. Her role was about working with the line organisation to identify and implement action plans. As a person Ro always brought a sense of humour to the work she undertook, so difficult and challenging situations could be diffused and we could quickly look at what the real issues where so we could come up with proposals on how to correct them. Ro Gorell has been an absolutely massive CATALYST in my life. I was desperately unhappy in my career.
