Business and Executive Coaching

“’Light blue touch paper and retire to a safe distance’ — the work of a business coach like you is invaluable…..you had the courage and patience to continue to try to light this blue touch paper and when the firework started to fizz, the wisdom to retire to a safe distance to watch the show unfold”

If you’re looking for a powerful way of getting results for you and your business then coaching might well be the answer to your prayers.

Because you are a Leader in your business you need someone else to turn to who can be objective about helping you create change and develop options to achieve your vision.  Someone who’ll act as a sounding board and yet be focused on helping you get a result that will help you move you and your business forward. Very often just having a confidential ear is enough to help you see things from a different perspective and get a real sense and certainty of what you need to do next.

It’s important to be clear what outcome you and your business is looking to achieve from this type of relationship.

So, if your outcomes are:

  • solve your own problems so that you have a set of tried and tested strategies
  • develop your own skills to help you achieve flexibility to any challenge that might crop up
  • change your behaviours to give you greater success at developing and maintaining productive relationships
  • change your attitude so that you have a positive mindset and can focus on action

And You Want Results:

  • More confidence and personal presence
  • Powerful leadership skills
  • Reduced time to make decisions
  • More time to think

Then working with someone on a one to one basis may well be the answer to your prayers

We recognise that selecting a company to provide coaching services and working with an individual coach is a risky business for any organisation.  After all, you have no way of knowing that they will be the right coach for you and your organisation.

We know that there are probably three key things that you want to be sure about before you hire a coach:

The first thing is that you want to be CONFIDENT that they will be able to help you and your organisation.

Secondly you want to feel able to TRUST them.  After all, you and your organisation are laying open your vulnerablities and you want to be sure that whoever you work with is trustworthy and has your best interests at heart.

Finally, and this is the clincher, you want to be sure that you will be sufficiently MOTIVATED to work with your coach to a successful outcome and experience the results for yourself.

Trust And Confidence Are Based On Experience.   So, to help you experience these for yourself here is a demonstration of a real live coaching discussion between Ro Gorell and Kate Burton.

Kate Burton, a successful author of 3 books including Neuro-Linguistic Programming for Dummies and Building Self-Confidence For Dummies agreed to be my client.

The topic Kate brings to the session is a personal one rather than business because we felt this would be safer than airing Kate's business plans to the rest of the world.  But, the content is really just a means of demonstrating what happens in a coaching session.  It was filmed in one take so you can see how the coaching conversation flow to co-create an outcome for the client.   We've left in all the 'ums' and 'urrs' so that you truly experience a real-life coachings session - not one that  has been heavily edited.

The video is split into 3 parts to make it easier to watch - each segment is about 10 minutes long.  Stay tuned till the end because as we go through the coaching session you'll see that Kate has a powerful realisation and succeeds in realising her outcome.
